WCB #51

Nature abhors a vacuum. So do my cats.

I place all of the chairs on top of the table to vacuum underneath more easily. Trixie has discovered the best method to escape the vacuum cleaner is to climb up onto one of them:
Colin, however, has taken the "watchful waiting" approach, keeping close--but not too close!--tabs on the roaring beast by timidly following me around the house. It's really hilarious:
He finally decided to get the hell away altogether and join Trixie in the safety of the Chair Forest. Please note, this is the only time you will ever see them in such close proximity to each other sans squabbling, in a the-enemy-of-my-enemy-is-my-friend sort of way:

Go and see other cats whom I'm betting also abhor vacuums at Clare's!

Ah yes!! In my house the vaccum cleaner is highly feared. I have to say, cats handle them better than birds. My birds vomit when I vaccum and it goes onto the walls!!! Needless to say, we put the birds in another room when we vaccum! I think Trixie and Colin are so cute up on the table.

Smart kitties - mine will run helter skelter when the vaccum is on.

Aww... so cute. My three hate the dreaded vacuum too. They hide under the bed, and pray for it to be over.

    Your cats are very cute!

Yes, cats seem not to like the vacuum cleaner! My cat Fridolin is a little different: he likes to play with the end part while I vacuum his tree!!!... But our Maruschka will move away.

These days our cat could care less, as long as Lily is giving him the attention he requires, the roof could be caving in. As a side note the vaccum mesmerizes Joey, must be the white noise.

Oh, Nick, I didn't realize that was you! I can't "see" your profile, as it is blocked. Howdy!

Ha ha ha - they look so safe in the chair forest. Now I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about Sher's bird's puking on the walls, though.

Louis does look like your Trixie! Too cute. And I love Colin -- I'm a sucker for "ginger" cats. :)

"Hmmm... what is thaaaaat noise? It's disturbing my tranquility!" Hehehe!

By the way, one thing I notice about our cats, they love to be perched. The higher, the better. Not sure if it's the same for others.

    Ya know,

When I was a kid, well, "kid-ish", we had a cat, Calico (who was, you guessed it, calico (our first cat, Blacky, was...)) who actually liked the vacuum. Seriously. Though it was kinda a sexual thing. She liked having her tailed sucked up by the hose. And getting sucked all over. Well, maybe not all over, we didn't really "suck" south of the equator, if-ya-know-what-I-mean. Calico, however was a big fan of self-pleasuring. She would suck her own nipples, her paws flexing rhythmically whilst purring loudly until her stomach fur was soaking wet. Hey. She was a liberated kitty.

Anyway, I kinda wish Ellott and Squee were fans of the vacuum. Help keep the furball population down to a managable level.

    Dave
